Hi there, I'm Katrina
My passion for maternal wellness has shaped my holistic approach to care, supporting individuals from preconception through postpartum and beyond. I provide a range of services, from personalized nutrition counseling to in-person support for birthing parents and their newborns, designed to nurture and empower families through these pivotal life transitions.
My journey with supporting families began in 2007, inspired through my work at a university child development lab school in New Hampshire. Since then, I have worked closely with hundreds of families in diverse settings, birth and beyond. My approach is rooted in evidence-based, whole-person care, grounded in the belief that every parent has the innate ability to trust and honor their body, intentions, and intuition—especially when surrounded by the comprehensive support all human beings deserve.
As a maternal wellness specialist, I serve as a nurturing and responsive guide, helping birthers and families navigate the transformative phases of life from preconception through early childhood. My goal is to seamlessly bridge these transitions—prenatal, birth, postpartum, and beyond—with thoughtful physical, emotional, and informational support.
I'm a certified birth & postpartum doula, childbirth educator, newborn care specialist, and master nutrition consultant
A little about me
In 2017, after enduring decades of pelvic pain that was persistently dismissed by gynecologists, I was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis. Around the same time, I also discovered I have MTHFR variants, which impact the way my body methylates certain nutrients and influences the way my genes are expressed. These diagnoses became the catalyst for my deep exploration into how our environment and lifestyle choices influence our bodies, as well as how inadequately women's health is often addressed. This realization ignited my journey as a women's health advocate and led me to delve further into the field of maternal health & wellness.
Shortly after my diagnoses, I pivoted my focus on child development to centering women's health and the well-being of individuals with uteruses. I began my journey as a childbirth educator to guide parents through the journey of birth, providing education on what to expect at every stage. My mission became empowering birthers to honor their birth preferences and to advocate for themselves in settings where prescribed approaches might not align with their personal wants and needs.
Since those early days as a doula and childbirth educator, I have expanded my expertise to include a strong focus on nutrition. I dedicated years to studying the intersection of nutrition and specific health needs, such as fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and genetic and autoimmune conditions. In 2020, I began writing a postpartum cookbook, which has since evolved into a comprehensive guide addressing the nutritional needs of fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum.
